Disney’s Iger: Hulu owners committed to sale”


The owners of Hulu have committed to selling the US online video service and have reportedly received up to 12 potential offers.

The Walt Disney Company chief executive Bob Iger told reporters at the Sun Valley investment conference in Idaho that it was “committed to selling” Hulu, which is a joint venture between Disney, News Corp and NBC Universal. The company has appointed Morgan Stanley and Guggenheim Partners to talk to potential buyers, which include Google, Yahoo and AT&T. The company is expected to fetch around US$2 billion (€1.4 billion).
