Zon debuts ad-supported widgets

Portuguese pay TV operator Zon Multimedia has signed its first ad deals using the Zon Widgets platform.

Citroën and MPG are, respectively, the first client and agency to invest in the interactive platform. All customers with a Zon Box are being presented with a Citroën banner that can be used to access a landing page promoting its new DS4 vehicle. According to Zon, nearly 11,000 people accessed the landing page in the first few days of the campaign. 

Zon now offer 21 widgets covering weather, news, games, social networks and programming highlights.
