â¨The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded a raft of Olympic television rights across Germany and France.
German public broadcasters ARD and ZDF have acquired the broadcast rights across all platforms – including free-to-air, pay TV, online and mobile to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Russia and 2016 Olympics in Brazil. â¨Separately, French public broadcaster France Télévisions has picked up rights for both of these events as well as the 2018 and 2020 Olympic Games, which have yet to be awarded to a host city. Both deals were struck by IOC Executive Board member Thomas Bach.
