BBC iPlayer now available to BT Vision TV viewers

The BBC iPlayer catch-up service is now available via the TV to customers of BT Vision in the UK.

The launch of iPlayer on the IPTV service means that BT Vision users will be able to a cess about 400 hours of BBC TV programmes and over 1,000 hours of radio programmes. The new service replaces a smaller selection of BBC content that was available on BT Vision’s TV Replay catch-up service. Content from ITV’s Net Player, Channel 4’s 4 On Demand and Five’s Demand 5 will continue to be available through the TV Replay service.

Marc Watson, chief executive of television and online services, BT Retail, said:  “The launch of BBC iPlayer on BT Vision adds to the enormous range of quality entertainment already available to our customers. We are really excited to be partnering with the BBC to bring BBC iPlayer to our customers.”
