RCS&RDS reports loss for 2010

Romanian pay TV operator RCS&RDS posted a loss for 2010, according to local media outlet Mediafax, quoting financial reports approved by shareholders in May.

The undisclosed loss comes after the company reported a RON211.83 million (€50 million) profit and a turnover of €389 million in 2009. According to Moody’s, RCS & RDS has US$175 million (€132 million) of debt maturing this year and US$375 million maturing in 2012.

RCS&RDS operates Romania’s leading cable and DTH platforms under the Digi brand.
