Toya to take HD lead in Poland

Polish cable operator Toya is boosting its high definition offering to deliver what it claims will be the country’s most comprehensive choice of HD channels.


From June 22, the operator will add Fox Life HD and Fox HD (along with the standard definition channels Fox and TV6). It will also include Canal Plus HD, HBO 2 HD, HB Comedy HD and Cinemax 2 HD on July 1.


Toya is also updating its digital packages. From July 1, it will offer three basic packages, three premium packages and five thematic channels. A new “Economy” package will cost PLN34 (€8.56) for 30 channels and a new “Convenient” package will cost PLN54 for 57 channels. The operator is also offering a new internet-connected HD receiver, the 3G. It will enable users to watch web TV services, use web-based apps and listen to internet radio.
