Russian service provider VimpelCom, which operates under the Beeline brand, is to trial Chinese technology provider ZTE’s IPTV platform. VimpelCom will run a commercial pilot based on the ZTE platform in Kazakhstan between now and the end of the year.

Wireline internet and TV marketing chief Timur Alyautdinov said that VimpelCom was so far pleased with the cost and functionality provided by ZTE’s platform.
