Canal Plus claims most successful month ever for online video


Canal Plus said that May was its most successful month ever in terms of videos watched on its website, Canalplus.fr.

The French pay TV operator said that 26.7 million videos were watched through May compared to 15.7 million in May 2010. 
The site offers original web series and coverage of live events as well as clips and trailers. Online traffic in May was boosted by video coverage of the Cannes Film Festival. Video of the event was viewed two million times.
