Rotana to launch entertainment channel for Egyptians

Middle Eastern media group Rotana Group is to launch a general entertainment channel directed at the Egyptian community.

The Saudi Arabian broadcaster, which operates channels including LBC Sat and Khalijiyah as well as pay TV services, is launching the channel later this year and it will air a mix of local dramas, US series and international movies.

Fahad Alsukait, CEO, Rotana Group, said: “The new channel further confirms our strong commitment to Egyptian viewers and Rotana’s plans to expand its presence in Egypt.”
