ADB announces Hungarian hybrid win

Hungarian telco Btel is launching a hybrid TV service using ADB set-top boxes.

Btel has selected the ADB-2850ST device and ADB’s Carbo user interface for the service. ADB said the combined offering would enable Btel to offer high definition channels and a range of interactive applications. The ADB-2850ST can also be connected to an external hard drive.

“We look forward to our cooperation with ADB and the launch of a high quality service that will strengthen our position in the Hungarian market”, said Krisztian Takács, Btel’s CEO. “ADB’s Carbo user interface has already been highly successful with other pay TV operators throughout Europe and we are confident that our subscribers will appreciate such an enhanced TV experience”.
