Swisscom passes half million TV subs

Swisscom has now signed up over half a million TV customers and has announced an expansion of its offering.

From July Swisscom will make a TV guide app available for Android devices, while a free Swisscom TV air app for iPad will be launched in the same month.

The TV guide app will allow users to book recordings from their mobile phones, while the mobile TV air app for iPad complements an existing app available on iPhone, Android and Microsoft devices. According to Swisscom, over 200,000 customers use its mobile TV service currently, receiving about 50 live channels for CHF9 (€7.40) a month.
