Vectra acquires Netia cable assets

Polish cable operator Vectra has acquired the cable assets of service provider Netia in the Bydgoszcz region.

Vectra will take over networks delivering services to several thousand subscribers in the city of Bydgoszcz and the surrounding towns of Nowe nad Wisłą, Nakło, Paterek, Świecie and Tuchola, in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region of the country.

Netia’s sale of the cable network is part of its strategy of developing a standardized technology platform over which to deliver services, including IPTV.
