ARD in push for Dutch cable carriage

German public broadcaster ARD has launched a push to win carriage for its channels on cable networks in the Netherlands, according to local reports.

Carriage deals for public broadcasters from neighbouring countries (Belgium, Germany and the UK) were previously handled by copyright organization BUMA. With that no longer being the case, broadcasters including RTBF, ARD and the BBC have to seek their own arrangements with operators.
