DVR boost for Digital Plus

Spanish media group Prisa ended March with a total of 1,813,287 Digital Plus pay TV subscribers after adding 13,049 during the first quarter.

It has been quite at turnaround for the pay operator, which lost 46,960 subscribers during Q1 2010.  The number of subscribers to Digital Plus’s iPlus DVR service increased by more than 20% in the quarter to 368,583.


Prisa’s Audiovisual division reported first quarter revenue of €313.7 million and adjusted EBITDA of €36.6 million, both figures down slightly on the first quarter of 2010.
