Cablecom acquires new networks
UPC Cablecom has acquired cable networks in the Swiss cantons of Uri and St.Gallen.
The Liberty Global-owned cable operator reached an agreement with the owners of the Gommiswald, Benken and Ernetschwil/Gebertingen community antennas in the canton of St.Gallen and the Silenen-Amsteg TV cooperative cable network in the canton of Uri to acquire the networks.
One of the advantages of selling to UPC Cablecom is that only a full-service provider of telecommunication solutions like UPC Cablecom can offer its customers everything from under the one roof, said Stefan Knabl, head of mergers and acquisitions at UPC Cablecom.
