Disney strikes on-demand deal with Vodafone Germany

The Walt Disney Company has struck a deal with Vodafone Germany to provide on-demand content as well as the Playhouse Disney Channel and Disney XD on the latter’s digital TV service.

The deal will mark the first time Disney ABC content will be available on-demand in Germany, and also provides for the distribution of the two channels.

ABC TV on-demand will offer series including Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Criminal Minds and Scrubs. The service will also offer movies including current hits such as Rapunzel. Playhouse Disney and Disney XD will be available in the kids package on Vodafone TV.
