Aster acquires Krakow network

Polish cable operator Aster has acquired 100% control of internet service provider GH Net.

Aster will make its services, including digital TV and video-on-demand, available to GH Net’s 16,500 subscribers, most of which are in the Krakow area. GH Net’s network passes about 50,000 homes, and the company also has about 150 business customers. Aster, which is owned by Mid Europa Partners and has been seen as an acquisition target itself, said it had not ruled out making other acquisitions.
