Broadcast services provider Arqiva has signed a new agreement with US DTH pay-TV provider EchoStar to deliver over 30 international channels from Europe and Asia to EchoStar’s teleports in Wyoming and Arizona.
The EchoStar contribution deal includes full-time downlinks of over 30 channels as well as operation of a multiplex system at Arqiva’s Chalfont teleport in the UK. The signal is then sent by fibre to EchoStar’s teleports, while Asia-region downlinks are delivered direct to Cheyenne, Wyoming via Arqiva’s fibre network in the US.
