Dutch cable operator Ziggo has announced its support for the digitisation of local TV channels in its footprint.
Ziggo began broadcasting local channel Deventer RTV at the end of last week, enabling the channel to reach neighbouring municipalities including Olst-Wijhe Raalte and Zwolle in digital quality. Ziggo said it had made the necessary adjustments to its network to support other local TV providers that were willing to invest in digital equipment.
