Digital TV take-up edges upwards

UK regulator Ofcom’s latest Digital TV Progress report for the second quarter of 2010, showed that take-up of digital TV rose by 2.9% over the past year, with 92.7% of UK households now owning a digital TV, up 0.7% on the first quarter.

According to Ofcom, almost 71% of all secondary TV sets had been converted to digital by the end of June, up 1% year-on-year. The two figures together mean that 80% of all TV sets had been converted to digital by the end of the second quarter.
