Virgin Media adds Sky I HD to line-up

UK cable operator Virgin Media is to begin carrying Sky 1 HD from tomorrow, available as part of its XL TV package at no extra cost.

The HD version of Sky’s flagship channel will bring HD versions of UK shows including A League of Their Own and An Idiot Abroad and imports including House, Bones and Stargate Universe to Virgin Media viewers.

Virgin Media said it would also offer the first two seasons of US sci-fi series Fringe on its on-demand service from October 11.
