Spanish media group Prisa has claimed victory in a lawsuit against football club Barcelona.
A Barcelona court has dismissed an appeal by the club against an earlier decision ruling that it had to pay Prisa for rights of international competitions from the 2003-04 to 2007-08 seasons. Barça will now have to pay Prisas sports rights unit Â70m plus Â26.7m in VAT and interest. The court refused Prisa the amounts it claimed was due for the 2007-08 season only, which it said had to be dealt with in a separate proceeding.
