Romanian cabler NextGen launches low cost packages

Romanian cable operator NextGen Communications has launched a low-cost pay-TV package in 15 cities across the country as it looks to compete with market leaders RCS&RDS and UPC Romania. The cabler, which is owned by local telco Romtelecom, launched the service that includes 85 channels for RON27 (€6.33). NextGen originally launched in 2008 and has over 100,000 subscribers in over 20 cities.
