Finland to have terrestrial HD TV by year-end

Finnish cable operator DNA will launch a HD service over the country’s terrestrial network by the end of the year.

The operator has signed an agreement with Ericsson, which will immediately start the roll-out of a terrestrial HD TV network that will be available to 60% of Finnish households by the end of 2011. The service will be available in the country’s largest cities by the end of the year.
