Ninety-seven per cent of UK TV viewers expect to be able to watch all TV or video content whenever they want, within the next five years, either via an online catch-up service or via DVRs, according to research by digital TV technology company Rovi.
The research found that almost half of respondents currently use DVRs to watch programmes, and that 20-25 year olds are twice as likely to watch TV on a home PC or laptop (67%) compared to 35-44 year olds (33%). The survey also revealed that 35% of respondents watch more TV on their mobile phones than they did two years ago.
