Cyfra Plus updates and expands packages

Polish pay-TV operator Cyfra Plus has revamped its packages, offering a choice of eight instead of five.

The package formerly known as Welcome has been renamed Start and is still available for PLN19.90 (€5) per month, while Kompakt, formerly known as Basic costs PLN42.90. New package Kompakt HD offers the same channels as Kompakt but with the addition of four HD channels for PLN54.90. Subscribers taking this package and the Canal Plus group of channels, including Canal Plus Film HD and Canal Plus Sport HD, will pay PLN89.90. The Comfort package has been renamed Optimum and still costs PLN63.90. Optimum HD includes nine HD channels for PLN84.90 or PLN114.90 with the Canal Plus channels. The Prestige HD channel, formerly known as Prestigious HD, remains unchanged at PLN168.90 per month.

The pay-TV operator is launching its new football channel Canal Plus Gol this weekend. The channel, which will broadcast on weekends only, will feature live matches and coverage from various football leagues, including the English Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.
