Sport1 HD wins Deutsche Telekom carriage

Germany’s Constantin Medien Group has struck a carriage deal with IPTV operator Deutsche Telekom for its channel Sport1 HD.

The channel, which airs coverage of the Handball Bundesliga, Basketball Bundesliga and MotoGP auto racing as well as the English FA Cup, French Cup and the Coppa Italia soccer tournaments, will air in Deutsche Telekom’s high definition Entertain package. This comes after the company announced the launch of its new sports channel Sport Plus 1, which will roll out on a number cable platforms including Kabel Deutschland and Kabel BW, in October.
