Canal Plus chief confirms talks with Orange

Canal Plus Group president Bertrand Méheut has confirmed that the pay-TV company is in discussion with rival France Telecom/Orange about a partnership in relation to the pair’s premium movie channels.

Méheut, speaking at a press conference on Vivendi’s latest quarterly results, said that a decision would be taken soon. The talks centre on a possible fusion of the Orange Cinéma Series channels and TPS Star.
