Accedo launches iPad app development studio

Interactive TV specialist Accedo Broadband has announced that the company is opening a unit dedicated to “innovation around the usage of iPads and other tablet devices in a TV context”.

The company’s new Tablet Innovation Studio will open at Accedoÿs main R&D office in Stockholm. Accedo said it will develop new innovative applications together with partners and customers.

“TV usage as we know it will evolve rapidly over the coming 10 years,” said Michael Lantz, CEO, Accedo Broadband. “We believe that some consumers will use their iPad or any other tablet device to interface with TV content and applications, either in the living room, when moving around the house, or elsewhere.”
