YouSee boost for TDC

Danish telco TDC, which owns cable operator YouSee, had a 54.6% share of the country’s pay-TV market at the end of June, up from 53.6% year-on-year.

YouSee Plus, the cable operator’s digital pay-TV service, had 152,000 customers at the end of June, up 23.6% year-on-year, while TDC’s HomeTrio IPTV triple-play service had 110,000 customers, up 89.7%. TDC as a whole had 1.283 million TV customers, up 7.4% year-on-year. YouSee had 408,000 broadband and 51,000 phone customers, up 21.1% and 64.5% respectively.

YouSee turned in revenue of DKK1.993bn (€267m) for the first half, up 15.9%, and a gross profit of DKK1.158bn, up 15.6%.
