Management shake-up at MultiChoice

Pay-TV operator MultiChoice South Africa Holdings has appointed current CEO Nolo Letele as executive chairperson of the board, effective from October 1. Imtiaz Patel, the current CEO of sports broadcaster SuperSport, will replace him as CEO.

Current director Khulu Sibiya will be appointed as lead director on the board, while the current chairman Mandla Langa will retire.

“The board has decided on an executive appointment to meet the challenges faced by the underlying entities. Given Mr Letele’s more than 20 years experience in pay-TV, his knowledge of the business will stand him in good stead to fulfil this role,” MultiChoice said.
