UKTV to launch HD versions of Good Food and Eden

UK channel provider UKTV has unveiled plans to rollout HD versions of its Good Food and environment-focused Eden channels in the third and fourth quarters respectively. The channels will be available on BSkyB’s pay-TV platform.

The Virgin Media/BBC Worldwide joint-venture’s Good Food channel, which will launch in HD on August 31 as a simulcast of the standard-definition service, has acquired new content including the third series of Man v Food, Good Chef Bad Chef, Top Chef Masters and Neven’s Home Chef, as well as new commission Ronnie Corbett’s Supper Club.

Eden HD will launch in October and will include shows such as Great Rift and South Pacific.
