ITV expected to unveil pay-TV plan this week

British commercial broadcaster ITV is expected to unveil its plans to enter the pay-TV market this week.

New chief executive Adam Crozier is set to launch a five-year strategy to investors and is expected to incorporate a number of pay elements.

According to reports, the broadcaster is set to ink a deal with satellite pay-TV operator BSkyB that will see it exclusively carry high definition versions of its ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4 channels.

Other local reports suggest that the company may announce the launch of a bespoke pay-TV service aimed at a male-skewing audience. ITV will announce its half-year financial results on Tuesday.
