LoveFilm partners with Widevine

Move rental service LoveFilm has signed a deal with Widevine to make the content security specialist its preferred provider of digital rights management (DRM) and video optimisation solutions.

The agreement will see LoveFilm further develop its digital content to be playable on new devices. Widevine said its DRM, adaptive streaming and virtual-DVD trick play technologies will ensure the video remains both secure and at the best possible quality. LoveFilm offers thousands of films and TV shows available to watch online.
