Belgacom ended June with 868,000 TV subs, up 47% year-on-year. This comes after the Belgian telco added 54,000 IPTV subs during the latest quarter. IPTV-revenue grew by 46% to 86m during the first six months of 2010.
Belgacom also boosted its broadband subscriber base by 24,000 during the first half of the year, ending June with 1,545,000 customers.
The telco said it was pleased with the take up of its multi-play packages. By the end of June, 741,000 customers took one of its Packs, an increase of 88,000 during the second quarter of 2010.This means about 44% of customers take two or more services.
First half revenue from fixed-line services was stable at Â1.2bn.
