Liberty Global-owned Swiss cable operator Cablecom has launched an HD video-on-demand service, offering a range of Hollywood movies from CHF7.50 (5.60).
Cablecom will offer movies including Avatar, Up in the Air, The Hurt Locker, Alice in Wonderland and Alvin and the Chipmunks. The service will be available to all subscribers with an HD set-top box. To promote the service, Cablecom is offering the first film free of charge.
Cablecom is also providing a free catch-up service from Swiss television for one week after the initial broadcast of shows. The company has been providing exclusive access to the SF video portal since October.
