TeliaSonera delivers Wimbledon to Japan

TeliaSonera International Carrier is delivering HD coverage of the Wimbledon tennis tournament from London to Japan for two broadcasters.

TeliaSonera International Carrier’s Media Connect service is delivering HD video feeds from the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Club to the TeliaSonera Media Nodes in London, and then switching the feeds to the USA where hand-off occurs to Japanese media company Nexion, which is headquartered in Tokyo. Nexion then delivers the feeds to two broadcasters.
