Alhurra migrates playout to Omnibus iTX

US government-backed Middle East multichannel news provider Alhurra has migrated its operations to Omnibus’s iTX software-based broadcast automation and polayout platform.

Alhurra went live ith iTX at the beginning of May, delivering its three channels – Alhurra, Alhurra-Iraq and Alhurra-Europe – from its base in Springfield, Virginia.

Configured for three redundant SD channels with four ingest and four preview channels, Alhurra’s iTX implementation integrates with third-party graphics, asset management and traffic systems, supporting the exchanging of data with Alhurra’s BroadView traffic system and BitCentral asset management system through a file-based BXF interface, according to Omnibus.
