Akado to carry new PPV sports channel

Russian service provider Akado has begun to carry a pay-per-view sports channel, 2Sport2.

The HD channel, which is a joint venture between Russian broadcasters First Channel and RTR, will cover the World Cup initially.

Akado has about 405,000 digital TV subscribers in the Moscow region, along with one million analogue customers and about 650,000 broadband customers.
