TV2 signs Norwegian Premier League deals

Norway’s TV2 has signed carriage deals with pay-TV operators Viasat and Get for its Premier League channels.

Broadcaster TV2 acquired the rights to Premier League matches for Norway in March. Its three channels, Premiere League HD, Premiere League HD 2 and Premier League HD 3, will be distributed on Viasat’s Norwegian DTH pay-TV platform. Modern Times Group, which owns Viasat, already holds the Premier League rights for Sweden and Bulgaria.

Cable operator Get will offer the three channels for NOK199 (€25) per month, or NOK299 if taken with the TV2 Sport channel. It has also signed a deal with TV2 for the TV2 HD channel, which will be included in the basic channel package to all customers with a HD set-top box.
