SFR rebels over France Télévisions tennis deal

French IPTV provider SFR has refused to acknowledge an exclusive deal between public broadcaster France Télévisions and Orange over the retransmission of its coverage of the Roland-Garros French Open tennis championship, according to local reports.

Financial daily Les Echos reported that SFR, which had earlier been obliged to cut the signal of France 3, France 4 and France 5 during coverage of the tournament, insisted that its subscribers were entitled to view public service output, and yesterday began retransmitting the France Télévisions services.
