French IPTV provider SFR has refused to acknowledge an exclusive deal between public broadcaster France Télévisions and Orange over the retransmission of its coverage of the Roland-Garros French Open tennis championship, according to local reports.
Financial daily Les Echos reported that SFR, which had earlier been obliged to cut the signal of France 3, France 4 and France 5 during coverage of the tournament, insisted that its subscribers were entitled to view public service output, and yesterday began retransmitting the France Télévisions services.
