Mixed results for Comstar-UTS
Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has seen its triple-play customer base in Moscow fall by 9% year-on-year to 125,000 at the end of the first quarter. However, the groups pay-TV base in RussiaÂs regions increased by 2% to 1.997 million over the same period, giving the company a total of 2.122 million pay-TV customers, up 2% year-on-year but down by 2,000 quarter-on-quarter.
ComstarÂs double-play voice and broadband base in Moscow grew by 8% over the year to 860,000, while its double-play broadband and pay-TV base in the regions grew by an impressive 42% year-on-year to 426,000.
Triple-play ARPU in Moscow grew 11% year-on-year to RUB550 (Â14.45), while pay-TV ARPU in the regions grew by 6% to RUB110.
Comstar turned in consolidated revenues of RUB12.167bn, up 7% year-on-year, while OIBDA was RUB5.337bn, up 24%.
