Welho sub base grows

Finnish cable operator Welho ended March with a total of 163,000 customers, seven thousand more than at the corresponding time the previous year.

The total number of connected households was down by 4,000, however, to 320,000. The number of fixed broadband customers was up 8,000 year-on-year to 115,000.

Welho’s owner, conglomerate Sanoma, reported first quarter operating profit of €6.2m for its entertainment division, up one per cent year-on-year.
