YouSee to offer à la carte channels

Danish cable operator YouSee plans to provide channels on an à la carte basis as an alternative to adding additional packages to an existing subscription.

YouSee has begun discussions with broadcasters about prices and terms. The operator’s customers can currently choose between three packages each comprising 20-50 channels. However, the price of taking an individual channel on top of a basic package is expected to be five to ten times higher than the price of the same channel when taken as part of a package.
