Comstar-UTS adds new channels

Russian service provider Comstar-UTS has added entertainment channel Universal Channel, adult channel Blue Hustler and cooking channel Kykhnya TV to the Gold package on its Stream-TV IPTV service in Moscow.

Kykhnya TV is also available in Stream’s Silver package. Three other channels – Psykhologiya 21, Domashi Zhivotnye (Pets) and Volrosy i Otvetye (Questions and Answers) have been added to all packages. The new additions take the number of channels in the Gold package to over 100.

Comstar-UTS subscribers are also now receiving a number of new thematic channels, including the Continental Hockey League channel, HD channel Dozhd and English Club TV in trial mode.

Separately, Comstar Regions has begun constructing a fibre-to-the-building network in the closed northern Siberian city of Dudinka in the Krasnoyarsk region. Comstar currently provides cable TV services to about 47% of the city’s residents via an MMDS network.
