Revenues slide at TF1, but growth forecast for 2010

TF1 reported sharp falls in both revenue and profit in 2009. The French free-to-air broadcaster’s annual revenues were €2.4 billion, a 9% decrease year-on-year. Net profit was €115 million, a 30% year-on-year decline.

Advertising revenue fell 13%, taking the total to €1.4bn. However, net earnings and profit did increase in the last quarter of 2009 and TF1 said it expects to be in positive territory in 2010 with a forecast of modest revenue growth of 2%.
