Croatian telco T-Hrvatski Telekom ended 2009 with 235,980 IPTV subs, up 74.1% year-on-year. That figure represents 43% of the telcos broadband customer base.
The IPTV service, MAXtv, offers 120 channels, VOD services, DVR with the ability to record programmes using a mobile phone or the internet and the ability to read emails on the TV.
The telco ended the year with 554,995 ADSL customers, up 17.4% from 472,654 in 2008. It said that despite the increase in broadband subs, there was still room for significant growth in Croatias broadband market, with just 35% of Croatian households having a broadband connection.
Revenue from internet services grew 27.7% to HRK1.145bn (Â156.5m).
