Telekom Austria has begun delivering connected-home applications to its AonTV subscribers using set-tops supplied by ADB.
The new AonTV MediaBox service will enable subscribers to view DivX content on their TV, making Telekom Austria the first operator in Europe to supply DivX-certified set-tops to its customers.
ADBs boxes will enable users to access content available from DLNA, UPnP or Windows Media Connect devices within a home network, allowing them to retrieve slide shows, video and music files from their PC or other connected devices and play them on their TVs. Existing subscribers can access the new services via a software upgrade.
