German cable operator Tele Columbus has added new channels in HD and has launched a new HD DVR set-top box as part of an initiative targeted at housing associations in Berlin.
The operator has added public channels Das Erste HD (ARD) and ZDF HD to its line-up, joining existing HD channel Arte HD. It has also introduced a new HD DVR capable of recording up to 70 hours of content from Korean manufacturer Kaon. Tele Columbus plans to offer another HD box from March.
The operator has also added local channel tv.Berlin in digital format to its programming line-up.
