Amos-5i enters commercial service for African coverage

Satellite operator Spacecom has announced that its Amos-5i satellite has reached its 17° East orbital position and has begun commercial service.

The satellite includes 20 36MHz and four 72MHz C-band transponders plus nine 54MHz Ku-band transponders and will offer a pan-African C-band beam connecting Europe and the Middle East, alongside two Ku-band regional beams.
